Candidates seeking admission to NISER and UM–DAE CEBS for the integrated MSc programme 2019–24 should be from regular science stream only (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics) in classes XI and XII. It is mandatory for all aspiring candidates to write the NEST 2019 examination.
Admission will be offered strictly on the basis of Merit List of NEST 2019. Additionally, candidates must have passed class XII examination or equivalent from any recognised Board in India in the years 2017 or 2018 or be appearing for the same in 2019. Candidates who are appearing for the board examination in 2019 must pass it by the time of admission into the program.
Also, candidates must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in class XII examination to be eligible for admission to NISER and CEBS. For candidates belonging to scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, the minimum requirement of marks is relaxed to 55% in aggregate. Where only letter grades are available, a certificate from the concerned Board specifying equivalent percentage of marks is required to be submitted. In absence of such a certificate, the decision of the admissions committee of the concerned institution will be final.

Age Limit : General and OBC category candidates born on or after August 01, 1999 are eligible for admission to the integrated MSc programme of NISER/CEBS. The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC / ST / PwD candidates.

Eligibility criteria for admission :
Candidates must qualify all four eligibility criteria listed below:
Candidates in General and OBC category should be born on or after August 01, 1999. The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ ST/ Physically Disabled (PD) candidates.
Class XII qualifying examination should be passed in either 2017 or 2018. Candidates appearing in 2019 are also eligible. (Where only Letter Grade is given by the Board, a certificate from the Board specifying equivalent percentage marks will be required. In the absence of such a certificate the decision of the respective Admission Committees will be final.)
At least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class XII (or equivalent) examination from any recognized Board in India. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates and for Persons with Disability (PD), the minimum requirement is 55%.
Candidate should secure a position in the NEST merit list.
